Start safely
- Park on level ground, secure the area and make sure the bucket is free of debris.
- Switch the system off/on in a controlled manner to rule out temporary programme errors and disconnect the main power supply to the machine.
Basic checks
- Power & fuses: Is the display/controller lit? Check the power supply and any fuses.
- Cabling & connectors: Are sensor cables and connectors fully seated? Look for damage/squeeze damage.
- Zero point/tare: Reset, check that there is no residual load on the system.
- Raw values: Check the raw values, you can find these under menu.
Environment & Mechanics
- Dirt/material residues: Clean loading surfaces
- Temperature/vibrations: Allow the system to stabilise if there is a cold start or a sharp change in temperature.
Common symptoms and quick actions
- Unreasonable values/operation: Reset, restart the scale. Test disconnect the power.
- No signal: Suspect sensor or cable break - visually follow the cable and check raw values. The inductive sensors have an LED that should light up when activated.
When can I change the sensor myself?
- When the raw value points to a specific sensor and the wiring/connections are checked.
