Lundaman has curvature wheel loader scales with an accuracy of ±1 % of the machine's maximum lifting capacity under normal operating conditions. This means that the scale maintains high accuracy in everyday production while meeting verification and documentation requirements when needed.
What does ±1 % mean in practice?
- A wheel loader with a lifting capacity of 5 000 kg should, as a guideline, be within about ±50 kg difference of a 5 000 kg bucket.
- Precision comes with proper installation, correct calibration and a stable operating environment.
- The weighing systems are fully dynamic, so the measurement is recorded even while driving.
Conditions that ensure precision
- Tare weighing: Carry out tare weighing at regular intervals to compensate for material stuck in the bucket and changing temperatures and conditions in the machine.
- Correct calibration: Use known reference weight or driving scale and follow the calibration guide in the scale.
- Stable environment: Avoid steep inclines and rough unevenness at the moment of weight recording.
- Centred load: Place the material as centred as possible in the bucket.
- Correct gear selection: Choose the right bucket/implement.
- Maintenance: Clean plant surfaces and entire cabling and assembly details without damage.
Recommended practice for high measurement quality
- Daily control route with a known reference weight or quick comparison against a weighing scale.
- Warm-up lift to be performed when the scale asks for it at start-up. The scale also automatically requests continuous tare weighing, which can also be performed manually.
- Recalibration when replacing certain components or carrying out major maintenance work on the machine.
Coronation, verification and certification
We offer calibration, verification and calibration certificates. During site visits, our technician can also document measurement results, update procedures and ensure that you achieve specified accuracy.
Quick troubleshooting if values deviate
- Check that the correct bucket/implement is selected in the display.
- Tare weighing.
- Check against reference weight or driving scale.
- Check the raw values in the menu and the sensor cables and connectors.
