Yes. You can calibrate Lundaman's scales yourself, and it's easy. You will receive free guidance from our technicians via phone or TeamViewer. For calibration, you will need either a known reference weight or access to a weighing scale.

What you need
- Reference: Known, traceable reference weight - or a driving scale to compare against.
- Stable environment: Reasonably flat surface, avoid steep slopes.
- System access: Access to the scale calibration menu
Step-by-step how to calibrate
- Prepare
Park on level ground, check for any residual material in the bucket, allow the system to stabilise in temperature.
- Select reference
a) Retrieve known reference weight and find out exact weight, or
b) Place the machine on the weighbridge with empty bucket, note the empty weight of the machine.
- Calibrate in the display
Start the calibration programme and follow the guiding menu. Our technicians can join you live via TeamViewer.
Practical tips for high accuracy
- Avoid Uncentred Loads: Place the reference weight in the centre
- Keep the same routine: Use identical workflows for each calibration for better repeatability.
When should you calibrate or recalibrate?
- When installing, relocating or servicing/replacing components.
- After major temperature or environmental changes.
- Scheduled according to your quality management system (e.g. biannually or annually).
Common sources of errors - and solutions
- Dirt or material residues in bucket → Clean before calibration.
- Temperature drift → Allow the system to stabilise before calibration.
- Incorrect reference → Use traceable reference weight or verified driving scale.
Traceability and audit
- Lundaman offers calibration certificates by having our service technician come to your site and provide documentation, these certificates are usually renewed through annual visits. We also offer service agreements with or without calibration certificates.
- Save calibration records (date, reference, measurement values, deviation).
