Approximately 10-15 minutes. This is the normal time to calibrate a new bucket or implement on Lundaman's scales, provided that the environment is stable and that a reference is available.
Reduce time and ensure accuracy
Conditions affecting the time taken
- Access to reference: Known reference weight or driving scale on site shortens time.
- Environment: Reasonably flat surface, avoid steep slopes.
- System access: Access to the calibration menu and correct implement ID/name.
Recommended workflow (typically 10-15 min)
- Prepare
Park on level ground, reset the system, check any material left in the bucket
- Select reference
a) Retrieve known reference weight and find out exact weight, or
b) Place the machine on the weighbridge with empty bucket, note the empty weight of the machine.
- Run the calibration wizard
Follow the steps listed under ”calibrate implement”.
- Calibration certificate?
We offer calibration certificates by having our service technician come to your site and provide documentation, these certificates are usually renewed through annual visits. We also offer service agreements with or without calibration certificates.
Tips for staying within 10-15 minutes
- Have the reference ready before you start the wizard. Make a note of the exact weight.
- Enter the name of the gear clearly (e.g. “High-tipping bucket”) so future changes are quick and easy. The scale can memorise up to 10 implements.
Common time thieves - and how to avoid them
- Temperature drift on cold start → Allow the system to stabilise for a few minutes.
- Dirt/material residues → Quick cleaning before starting.
- Uncentred load → Place the reference in the centre
